    Historic Homes Tour!

    Experience the magic of the holiday season with Christmas in Smithfield's Historic Homes Tour, featuring three historic homes and two historic sites. Admission $40 via square.


    The purchase of a Historic Homes Tour ticket includes admission to the Antiques Show as well.


    We're located in the heart of downtown Smithfield, at 130 Main St. Street parking and local lots are available nearby. Get your tickets now!

    Hours of Operation

    Operating hours are Saturday December 7th, 11 am to 4 pm & 6 pm to 8 pm. Sunday December 8th, noon to 4 pm .

    Built in 1885, this lovely Victorian cottage is one of the oldest homes on Grace Street.  This home was built for Ms. Sallie Ann Eley, owner of Smithfield Female Institute, located a short walk down the street.

    Circa 1907, this classical revival house was built by James Robert Jordan, an early 20th century representative to the Virginia House of Delegates.  It is said that the high arches in the house were built to accommodate ​“Jim Bob” Jordan riding his horse through the home.

    This lovely Victorian home was built in 1903 and recently underwent extensive renovations.  Turret towers, bay windows, gingerbread detail and a wrap-around porch bring all of the Victorian details to life.

    Tour the beautifully decorated 1750 Colonial Courthouse on Main Street with colonial garbed interpreters. Find out why Williamsburg used this courthouse as the best example of appropriate architecture when restoring its own. Catch some strolling carolers on Main Street and enjoy a marketplace in the courtyard behind the courthouse.

    Tour Windsor Castle Manor.  Originally part of a 1450 acre parcel patented in 1637 by Arthur Smith, the founder of the town of Smithfield and is situated on a knoll overlooking the Pagan River. The farm was purchased with the intention of preserving the rich historic heritage of the Castle, as well as providing a passive public park on the estate grounds.   Windsor Castle, the historic house from which the park in Smithfield, VA, draws its name, was originally built   some time before 1750    and underwent extensive remodeling in the mid-1800s.  Authentically costumed interpreters will guide you through a colonial manor house dressed in its finest for the Christmas holiday celebration!
